Maple Vinaigrette Dressing takes just a few minutes to prepare! You'll love this naturally sweet, maple syrup salad dressing without mustard!

If you're a fan of maple flavor, you need this awesome vinaigrette in your life. You'll want to drink it with a spoon!
But save some to drizzle on this Fall Salad with Apples and Pecans. It's a match made in heaven!
Recipe ingredients
I make my maple vinaigrette without mustard. It's the way to go!

Pure Maple Syrup: With its bold flavor, pure maple syrup works best here. Be sure to check the expiration date on the syrup and use it within that timeframe.
Pancake syrup won't taste as good for this recipe, but could still be used.
Apple Cider Vinegar: With its fruity, slightly sweet flavor, apple cider vinegar pairs well with the maple syrup. If you need a substitute, you can make a maple balsamic dressing using dark balsamic vinegar.
Olive Oil: I prefer the mild taste of regular olive oil, but extra-virgin would work well too.
How to make it
See the card at the end of this post for the full recipe, but here's an overview.

- Combine the vinegar, olive oil, maple syrup and seasonings in a bowl or container.
- Whisk or shake to combine and pour over your favorite salad. Here is a good whisk (affiliate link), if you need one.
Recipe tips
- When storing the leftovers in the fridge, the homemade maple dressing will separate and the oil will solidify on top. Run the jar or container under very warm water, then shake to recombine it.
- You also could let the vinaigrette sit out at room temperature for 30 minutes after refrigeration and then shake or whisk it.
What to serve with it
This maple syrup dressing tastes amazing with the savory apple salad pictured below. It also would be delicious on grilled romaine salad, this Tex-Mex salad, or mandarin orange spinach salad.

How to store maple vinaigrette
Store the homemade maple dressing in a small mason jar (affiliate link) or sealed container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. (Make sure the pure maple syrup expiration date is beyond that timeframe.)

Maple Vinaigrette Dressing
Ingredients
Maple Vinaigrette (makes just over ¾ cup)
- 6 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- ¼ cup olive oil (I use regular)
- 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
- ⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 sprinkles salt
Instructions
- Add the vinegar, olive oil, maple syrup and seasonings to a small bowl or container and whisk to combine.
- Add some dressing to your salad to taste. Store leftover vinaigrette in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. You will need to whisk it to re-combine when you use it again. (See notes.)
Notes
- Pure maple syrup has bold flavor and works better than pancake syrup here.
- The oil will rise to the top and solidify during refrigeration. You can run the jar under very warm water and whisk the vinaigrette to emulsify it again. Or, let the dressing sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before whisking it or shaking the jar.
